Who can use Fingerwell

You must be of legal drinking age where you live, and in any case 21 or older. By creating an account you confirm this. We may close accounts that do not meet it.

Drink responsibly

Fingerwell is a log and a community, not an encouragement to drink. Nothing in the app rewards quantity. Never drink and drive.

Sightings and The Hunt

• Sightings are reports by users of bottles seen on store shelves at store prices. They are not statements by the store, may be out of date, and carry no promise that a bottle is there when you arrive.
• Report only what you saw yourself. Do not name store staff, track deliveries, or post anything the store has asked you not to.
• Fingerwell has no feature for selling, trading or arranging transfers of alcohol between people, and you may not use the app for that. Unlicensed resale of alcohol is illegal.
• Stores may ask us to remove a sighting or to be excluded: see support.

Your content

You keep what you write. You give Fingerwell a licence to show your pours, notes, comments, recipes and sightings to other users as part of the service. Do not post anything unlawful, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these terms. Every user can report or block another user.

The catalog

The whiskey catalog is compiled from public records and curated by Fingerwell. It is provided for use inside the app; copying it in bulk is not allowed.

No warranty

Fingerwell is provided as is. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, and we make no promises about either. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using the app or from relying on anything in it.

Changes

We will post changes here with a new date. Using the app after a change means you accept it.
